Lagos Life rent & housing
Rent is the one bill you can never skip. Here is what each area costs per week, when it is charged, and — the part other guides leave out — exactly what happens when you cannot pay.
Weekly rent by area
Rent is charged every week. These figures come from community fan-guides and are pending our in-game check:

Rent is collected on Saturday morning. Always keep a week's rent set aside before you spend on anything else — and if you are a Lapo player, remember your weekly loan repayment is on top of this.
What happens if you can't pay rent
Miss your rent and the unpaid amount turns into debt. If you owe rent for more than two weeks and you are not already in Mushin, you get a Quit Notice and are moved back down to Mushin. The cheapest way to never risk eviction is to keep your rent money ring-fenced before spending.
Buying and decorating your home
Beyond renting, you can furnish and upgrade your place through Buy mode, which works like a build/buy catalogue with 11 categories (Comfort, Sleep, Kitchen, Skills, Luxury and more). Furniture ranges from a ₦500 plastic chair to a ₦1,500,000 Lekki sectional sofa, and some of it trains your skills at home.
Still verifying: buying houses
Reliable figures for buying homes and the higher housing tiers are not yet published anywhere — most guides only cover rent. We are working through the in-game property and decoration systems and will add verified prices here. This is one of the biggest gaps in every existing Lagos Life guide.
