How to make money in Lagos Life
There are three layers of income: a job, side gigs on the side, and businesses that pay you while you sleep. Here is what each one really pays — job figures checked in-game — and the order to unlock them.
Layer 1 — Your job (your reliable paycheque)
A job is your steady income. Shifts are one hour each, 4–6 days a week. With no skills yet, these are the highest-paying jobs you can take on day one:
| Job | Start role | Pay / shift | Main skill |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🛢️ Refining | Operator Trainee I | ₦12,200 | Coding |
| 🛂 Airport Staff | Check-in Agent I | ₦10,400 | Charisma |
| 🏦 Banking | Marketer I | ₦10,100 | Charisma |
| 💻 Tech | Intern I | ₦8,600 | Coding |
| 🩺 Nursing | Student Nurse I | ₦7,900 | Fitness |

Want even more? The mid-level careers pay far better but need a skill first — for example Medicine starts at ₦18,300/shift once you have Fitness level 3. See the full table in Jobs & Salaries, and learn to train skills at home in Skills & Furniture.
Layer 2 — Side gigs (fill your free hours)
Between shifts you can run side gigs for extra cash. For a Lapo player with nothing, WhatsApp Hustle needs only Hustle 2 and no travel, so it is the usual first move.
Figures we are still verifying
The side-gig and business payouts below are compiled from community fan-guides. We are re-checking each one inside the game and will mark them verified as we confirm them — the job salaries above are already checked in-game.
| Side gig | Pay | Needs | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp Hustle | ₦1,150 | Hustle 2 | No travel — the go-to first earner for Lapo players |
| Carry Load (Alabaru) | ₦2,250 | — | Quick cash, no skill needed |
| Help at Buka | ₦1,750 | — | Simple shift work |
| Dance Battle | ₦4,125 | — | Includes a ₦500 entry fee |
| Freelance Gig (from home) | ₦4,300 | Coding 2 | Earn without leaving the house |
| Comedy Night | ₦5,250 | — | One-off performance |
| Paid Beach Photoshoot | ₦10,750 | — | Great mid-game top-up |
| Host a Piano Recital | ₦37,500 | Music 5 | Huge payout once your music is maxed |
Layer 3 — Businesses (money while you sleep)
Once you have savings, businesses turn cash into daily passive income. They scale enormously — from a ₦150,000 kiosk to a ₦250,000,000 stake in Quilox. Each one has an 8–10% chance of a bad day, and selling one back only returns about 60% of what you paid, so buy to hold.
| Business | Cost | Daily profit |
|---|---|---|
| Recharge & Data Kiosk | ₦150,000 | ₦700 – ₦3,200 / day |
| Zobo & Chapman Stand | ₦300,000 | ₦1,800 – ₦5,800 / day |
| POS Stand | ₦500,000 | ₦3,000 – ₦9,500 / day |
| Buka / Mama Put | ₦2,500,000 | ₦12,000 – ₦43,000 / day |
| Mack Haulage Truck | ₦18,000,000 | ₦87,000 – ₦179,000 / day |
| Quilox (5% stake) | ₦250,000,000 | ₦645,000 – ₦2.4M / day |
There is also land you buy and hold (Imota from ₦250,000 at +2.5%/week; Ibeju-Lekki from ₦4,000,000 at +5%/week) that only pays out when you sell. We compare payback periods in Businesses & Investments.
The fastest path from broke to rich
- Day 1: take the highest-paying job you qualify for and work every shift.
- Fill free hours with a side gig (WhatsApp Hustle if you are Lapo).
- Rush your first promotion — it raises your pay straight away.
- Once rent and loan are covered, buy a ₦150,000 kiosk for daily income.
- Reinvest profit into bigger businesses, then land and shares.
There is no shortcut
There are no Lagos Life codes or money hacks. The only early exploit was patched and the fake balances were wiped. Anyone offering to "double your naira" is scamming you — see Codes & Cheats.
